Talk at “M2M and the Internet of Things: Where Machines Talk”

Hi all,

here we go again. I will be giving a talk this Wednesday at the M2M preconference. The main event is described here. The preconference will adress the German community of RFID and machine-to-machine communication. I will present a few ideas on future RFID applications and how we can make use of Near Field Communication to create a migration path from todays infrastructure of mobile phone handsets on to an internet of things. The topic of the speech is “Do you RFID? – Innovative RFID-Anwendungen aus Sicht des Kunden“. It will be in German.

RFID in the Focus - Talk at the Future Store

Hello everyone,

another speech is lined up. This time, I will be presenting at the Future Store in Toenisvorst (Hoehenhoefe 21, 47918 Toenisvorst).

My talk is entitled: “Zukunftsweisend: Near-Field-Communication-Anwendungen für den Handel“. I will present a few results from our focus group study of the Mobile Prosumer.

Smart University 2008 - Slides for download available!

Daniel Michelis and I held a lecture during the Smart University 2008 in Sophia-Antipolis, Côte d’Azur. We had a lot of fun and have to thank Prof. Serge Miranda for inviting us!

1st International Workshop on Near Field Communication - NFC’09

Uwe and I will be on the programme committee of the 1st International Workshop on NFC 2009 organized and hosted by the University of Hagenberg in Austria.

The International Workshop on NFC 2009 is the first scientific workshop, which is focusing on the area of Near Field Communication (NFC).

RFID – future technology for SMEs

Another event lined up: I will be presenting at the Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) in Munich about RFID and consumers.

The event has about 10 speakers, it is all about case studies and learnings from industry cases. Date: 18.09.2007!
